Katharine Wright, 86, of Amarillo died Friday, May 24, 2013.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Katharine was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker for her married life of 64 years. She took great pride in her grandchildren by spoiling them any time that she had the opportunity. Katharine enjoyed listening to music, especially Bob Wills; collecting dolls; crafting, bowling and gardening. Any time she had a visitor, she loved showing off her photo albums. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. After retiring she enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, across the United States.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Casias and husband Jimmy of Amarillo; a son, Johnny Wright of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
