Mrs. Benny Martin Sanders, 94, of Cleveland died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Cleveland Personal Care. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home.

Celebration of life services will immediately follow beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hill and Bro. Larry Braswell officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Garden.

Mrs. Sanders was born January 5, 1919 to Benjiman Franklin Martin and Lara Cannon Martin. She married Walter Gardner Sanders in June of 1948 in Merigold. She loved to paint, draw, sew and play the piano. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was very active in her church; she enjoyed teaching children's church and sang in the senior adult choir. She worked as a Secretary for Baxter Health Care for 35 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjiman Franklin Martin and Lara Cannon Martin; daughter, Linda Sue Sanders Richardson.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her son, Charles Gardner Sanders (Cynthia); siblings, A.B. Weathersby, Lynn Massa, and Lavonne Burnby; grandchildren, Lane R. Parker, Stacy R. Ezell (Mark), Chuck Richardson (Kim), Suzy R. Little (Mike), Michelle S. Norris (Eddy), Mike L. Sanders (Tara), Teri Lynn Rankin (Randy), Mark W. Brown (Kathy), and Traci Strange (Scott); 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Richardson, Mark Ezell, Mark Brown, Brandon Bairfield, Randy Rankin, and Eddy Norris.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Ray Hawkins, Larry Howard, Benny Hood, Mark Little, Chris Braswell, Roger Parker, Mike Little and Charles Richardson.

Memorial may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church's Children Department.
