Mrs. Joanna Jensen From died at the home of George Eliassen, where she was boarding, at noon Sunday, Feb. 27th and the funeral was held at the Adventist Church at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Elder W. H. Sherrig, of Omaha, officiating. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery. She was born in Uldom, Denmark, August 10th, 1833, and was therefore 82 years, 6 months and 17 days old at the time of death. She came to this country in 1891 and settled near Orum, where she was married to John From a year later. Owing to her condition from asthma she came to this city about ten years ago and Mr. From went to make his home with his son, Knute, of Newman Grove where he died about a year ago. Death came to her while sitting in her chair, but it was not unwelcome, owing to her condition, her age and her faith in a future life. She accepted the Adventist faith in 1880 and has lived a devoted Christian life ever since. She leaves one full brother, Soren Jensen, of this city, one half-sister, Mrs. Jorgen Jorgensen, of Omaha, and two half-brothers, Anton Jensen, of Magnolia, Ia., and George Johnson of Waterloo, Neb.

Mrs. Hannah From Dead

Mrs. Hannah From departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 27, at noon, aged 83 years. She had been a great sufferer from asthma for a number of years and a sudden attack of this trouble caused her death. She had been in her usual health until a few hours preceding dissolution.

Deceased had been a resident of Washington County for 46 years, coming here with her husband in 1870, and locating on a farm near where the Orum store is now located. Her husband, John From, died a number of years ago and since that time she has boarded with different friends, making her home with Mrs. Ellisen, in Dexterville, at the time of her death. She has one son, Peter, his whereabouts not known, but when his mother last heard of him, he was in the state of Wyoming. Beside this son, she leaves a sister, Jurgensen, of Omaha; two brothers, Soren Jensen, of Blair, Anton Jensen, of Modale, Ia., and one half-brother, George Johnson, of Waterloo, Nebr.

Funeral services were held at the Adventist Church Tuesday afternoon, the sermon being preached in both the Danish and the English languages, by Elder W. H. Sharrig, of Omaha. A large number of friends from Kennard and Orum and Blair were present. Interment was made in Blair Cemetery.

J. P. Jensen, guardian of Mrs. From, has instituted a search for the son by sending advertisements for him to several western newspapers. There is a twenty acre farm at Orum and some other property belonging to her estate.
