Pete, loving father, husband, brother and grandfather died June 7, 2003 in his sleep, the day after coming home from the hospital for surgery.

Pete was born on May 22, 1926 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to George A. and Vivian Olson Panos, where he was a star football player at Bingham High School and made all-state.
After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He attended the University of Utah, met his first wife Margaret Natalie Panos, who passed away in 1976 after 29 years of marriage. Later Pete met and married his second wife Lucille Panos. They have been together until his passing with 27 years of marriage.
Pete loved to hunt, fish, travel and read. He was also a member of the Masons. He has worked at KCC and later at UDOT as a surveyor for the highway dept. Moved to California as a superintendent and salesman for Raymond Concert Pile, then salesman for Foundation Construction. Moved back to Utah and UDOT where he was in charge of bridge maintenance until he retired. Pete was proud of being a structural engineer and continued using his skills as the City Engineer for Wendover, NV until his death.
Survived by second wife, Lucille Panos, sons George P. (Polly), Gust C. (Dianne), daughter Sally Edwards (Pat Fitzwater), and three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by first wife Margaret Natalie Webb, mother Vivian, father George, brothers Tom and Gus and sister Ruby.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wed., June 11, 2003 at the Murray City Cemetery 5600 South Vine Street, Murray, Utah. There will be a viewing held at Evans & Early Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. Tues., June 10, 2003, 574 East 100 South Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral Directors Evans & Early Mortuary a Dignity Memorial Provider.
