Mrs. Joseph Hallie Tingley, formerly Miss Minnie Lutz was born in Abingdon, Illinois, March 8th, 1879. She died in Boulder, Colorado, April 14th, 1922, aged 43 years, 1 month 6 days.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Lutz who, seven years after the birth of their beloved one, moved to McDonald, Kansas, where she attained her schooling along with her many friends.
On August 15th, 1897, she was married to Jo. Hallie Tingley. To this happy union were born five children, all of who are living at her home, Fourteenth street and Second avenue. The surviving children are Mrs. J. I. Plumb of St. Francis, Kansas, Mrs. X. O. A. Savage of York, Nebraska, Miss Lelah Tingley of this city, Ivan aged 12, Elmer aged 6 months, her mother Mrs. Mary Lutz, her sister Mrs. G. F. Huffman, both of McDonald, Kas., and her brother, Walter Lutz, of Bird City, Kas.
She has ever been appreciated by those who knew her to be a kind and loving wife and mother, always forgetful of self in her service to home and friends.
She has passed, but the memory of her lingers and our great love is steadfast thru the years.
Obsequies will be held at the Tippett undertaking parlors at 2:30 Monday afternoon, the Rev. Dr. Rowand officiating.
