She married Joseph Abell, 1791-1847, son of Joshua and Ann (Mills) Abell on Oct. 18, 1817 in Washington (now Marion) Co., KY by the Belgian pioneer church building missionary, Rev. Charles Nerinckx. Their marriage record can be viewed in the Washington County, KY Clerk's Office in Springfield, KY. They moved to what is now Larue County (then Hardin County), Ky.
They were the parents of: Margaret Ann (Abell) Luckett, 1819-1840, Matilda (Abell) Dixon, 1820-xxxx; Bernard Abell 1821-1883; Mary Melvina (Abell) Thornsberry, 1823-1890; Robert A. Abell, 1825-xxxx; Eleanor A. (Anell) Thornsberry, 1827-1891; Elizabeth L. Abell, 1824-1824; and Joseph S. Abell, 1828-1828. Eleanor "Nelly" died Jan. 25, 1841 in what is now LaRue County (then Hardin County), KY on Jan. 25 1841, aged 56 years, four months, and 16 days and is buried in this cemetery.
