WML BATCHELDER PASSES AWAY

Alcester Man Died at Hudson Hospital
October 15th
William Batchelder, who had been living at Alcester, passed away Sunday, October 15th, at the Hudson hospital. His remains were taken to Alcester where funeral services were held on Tuesday of last week at the Nilson undertaking parlors with Rev. Reinniuth officiating. Burial was in the Alcester cemetery.

William Batchelder was born in New York state. He came to South Dakota with his parents when a small boy and spent most of his life in that state. In 1894 he was united in marriage with Emma Jane Williams and to this union seven children were born, five of whom survive. For years he lived near Chatsworth. The children who survive are John A., Akron; Harry A., Chatsworth; Leo A., Hawarden; Mrs. Minnie Matson, Omaha; and Quentin O., who was adopted by and made his home with the Nienkirks at Worthington, Minn. He also is survived by 10 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ida Tennant, and one brother, George Batchelder, both of Pollock, N. D. He had attained the age of 66 years, 11 months and 14 days.
