Mrs. Katie Trinkle Hicks, 91, of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Cambridge House in Bristol, Tennessee. Whe was a daughter of the late George Rhoten Trinkle and Hattie Mae Campbell Trinkle. IN addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Anna Marlene Strouth, four brothers and one sister. Mrs. hicks loved her Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a cafeteria worker for and retired from the Sullivan County School System. She was a lifelong member of Addilynn United Methoidst Church and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Buffalo Senior Citizen Club. Katie is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Jedss W Hicks, son, Jim Hicks and wife Sue of Blountville, Tennessee, grandsons, Time Strouth, Mike Strouth and Matt Strouth and wife Connie, granddaughters Jennifer Hicks, Susan Groseclose and husband David, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandsons and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends form 5:30 until 7:45 pm Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Oakley Cook Funeral Home and anytime a the home of Jim and Sue Hicks. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Dr Stan Anderson and Rev Lloyd Jones officiaing. The committal service and interment will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Glenwood Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Cambridge House-west wing and the employees of Home Instead. In lieu of flowers, memorial congtributions may be snen to Addilynn United Methodist Church, 3225 Avoca Road, Bristol, Tn 37620
