Before moving to Carrollton Club in December 1996 she was a life-long resident of Carroll County, her home was at 89 Little New York Road.
She was a homemaker, belonged to the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pate was born in Heard County March 2, 1906, the daughter of the late Homer William White and Betty Lou Witcher White.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Pate, and infant son, Samuel Anthony Pate.
A funeral was Thursday, June 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ga. with the Rev. Doug New, Rev. Leonard Almond and Rev. Gordon Willingham officiating.
Burial was in Carroll Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Barry Shadix, Greg Shadix, Ronnie Adams, Kenneth Walls, Terry Pate, Timothy Pate, Gary Hines, Phil White, Roger White and Ridley Parrish.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Eris Shadix and Mrs. Jessie Lee Walls of Carrollton, Mrs. Pauline Parrish and Mrs. Gwen Cartright, Bremen; brothers, Hulette White and H. W. (Bill) White Jr., Bremen; sisters-in-law, Ruth White and Jean White, Bremen, Ann White, Cedartown, and Ella Mae White, Sylvester, Rozelle Hines and Jewell Pate, Whitesburg; brother-in-law Wade (Bud) Cartright of Bremen; several nieces and nephews.
