MATTOON — On March 6, 2013, Clifford C. Cox Sr. of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully. He was born on April 16, 1924 in Illinois to Ralph and Goldie Cox. After completing high school, Clifford joined the Navy. Clifford finished his tour of duty and returned to Illinois where he met his future wife, Catherine Hardwick. They were happily married for 61 years. Clifford retired from Blaw Knox after 30+ years of service. He and Catherine spent their retirement in Lakeland, FL
Clifford is survived by his son, Clifford Cox, Jr. of Phoenix, daughter Toni Doss(David) of Scottsdale, siblings Clara Reed of Harlowton, MT, and Annetta Larsen of Culbertson, MT.,
6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Clifford was preceded in death by his spouse in 2007, his parents and 4 siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon on June 2, 2013 at 2:00pm. The family will be hosting a celebration of life afterwards.
