William R. Cullar, 66, of Pollock Pines, died September 5 at a local hospital. He was born in Texas and lived 40 years in California, the past 10 years in El Dorado County. Mr. Cullar was a retired crane operator for construction. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3 and the Pollock Pines Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Cullar is survived by his wife, Sylvia M. Cullar of Pollock Pines; father of Lynn Fish of Pollock and Bobbie Cullar of Tucson, Arizona; brother of Ray Cullar of Hayward, Nell Sikes of Sherman, Texas, Glenn Cullar of Riverside, Stella Lambden of Hayward, John Cullar of El Paso, Texas and Henry Cullar of Monterey; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A funeral was held Tuesday, September 9 at Chapel of the Pines. The Rev. George Stevens of the Camino Church of Christ conducted the service. Interment was at the Placerville Union Cemetery.
