Joy Ann Wallace passed away at Houston House on June 9, 2019.
Joy Ann, daughter of Jess and Edna (Pearcy) Wallace, was born on October 26, 1941 in Plato, Missouri. She attended Plato schools. Joy Ann retired after 27 years of civil service at Fort Leonard Wood. She held various positions during her career and especially enjoyed working at the Fort Leonard Wood laundry.
Joy Ann moved to Houston, MO and was employed at Houston House for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Houston.
Joy Ann loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her great niece, Alyssa, and great nephew, Chase. She spent many weeks traveling with them and at their homes in Michigan and West Virginia.
Joy Ann is survived by her sister, June (Edwin) Goldsmith; niece, Lisa (Brett) Quencer; great-niece, Alyssa (Jimmy) Stiving; and great-nephew, Chase (Jessica) Quencer.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M Friday, June 14, 2019 at Hickory Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hickory Ridge Cemetery Fund for cemetery maintenance are appreciated.
