Richard McLeod Anderson
Born to William and Rebecca Taylor Anderson November 22, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Youngest of five surviving siblings; he was orphaned as a baby. Uncle Otto and Louisa Anderson raised Richie and sister Nancy on a small farm in northern Wisconsin. Later he lived in Minneapolis where he married his wife Marilyn. They moved to Beaverton Oregon and raised four children. He worked with his brother Bud at Beaverton Radiator Shop for 34 years until retirement.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn; children Daniel (Martha), Wendy (Monica), Heidi (Wayne), and Maridith (Paul) Wooden; step children Janet and Craig Hansen; grandchildren Benjamin, Emily, and Luke Wooden and Liam Anderson-Young; many nieces and nephews; sister Nancy of White Bear Lake Minnesota; and sister-in-law Eleanor of Sherwood Oregon.
Richard was a loving dedicated husband and father and a friendly helpful neighbor. As a mechanic he always kept us on the road.
He passed away April 27, 2013 with his family by his side; we will miss him always.
