Macomb, IL - Amy Isabel Barnes, age 82, a resident of Lafayette Square in Macomb, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her home.

She was born on December 23, 1930 in Corinth, Vermont the daughter of Clinton and Jennie Rowell Bowen. She married Bobby L. Barnes on November 16,1952 in East Corinth, Vermont.

She is survived by her children Lucinda (Jackie) Owens of Mason City, Cheryl (Scott) Wheelhouse of Macomb, Ronald Barnes of Bardolph, Tamy (Jeff) Stockton of Douglass, Kansas, and Penny Barnes of Macomb, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Teresa Lindstrom, and several brothers and sisters.

Amy was an Air Force wife and had lived many places before moving to Macomb in 1969.

She was a practical nurse before her marriage. She then raised her family and was an excellent homemaker and mother. She then continued her career as a nurses aid until her retirement in 1992.

Amy loved reading and being with her family, she enjoyed crocheting and had made afghans for all her children.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
