She worked for Shedds Foods for over 20 years in Dallas. Marlene was a God loving person who was quick witted and a caring for others and a blessing to be around. She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Maudie Speaks; husband Jim Garner; sister Darlene Davis; brother Harold Speaks; brother-in-law Weldon Davis. Mrs. Garner is survived by her son Tommy Vaughan and wife Marsha; granddaughters Karen, Kimberly, Pamela; grandson Lucas; great-grandchildren Evelyn, Dylan, Gage, Aubrie, Keegan and Paisley; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Funeral service will begin following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rod Keith officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County.
