Mrs. Nadine Murphy Borom, 95, of Thomasville died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Camellia Gardens Nursing Home in Thomasville. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Murphy Cemetery with the Rev. J.E. Moak officiating. Born Oct. 31, 1908, Mrs. Borom was the daughter of the late Luther Perry Murphy and Lena Pickett Murphy. She was an elementary school teacher in the public school system, a member of the Colquitt County Retired Teachers Association and a member of First Baptist Church in Moultrie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas G. Borom; her son, Douglas Guerry Borom III; and three sisters, Lois Inez Murphy White, Hope Murphy Baker and Marie Murphy Megahee. Survivors include two brothers, L.P. Murphy Jr. and wife Dot of Tampa, Fla., and Lewis Wilson Murphy of Vero Beach, Fla.; one sister, Donita Murphy Turner of Murphy; and 12 nieces and nephews. Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
