Mary Louise was the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Toner) Blessington. Her parents were born in Ireland. Michael Blessington and Kate Toner were married December 26, 1876 in Delaware. In 1880 her parents Michael, 28, a laborer, and Catherine, 24, were living in Christiana Hundred with children James, 2, and Mary L., 1. Michael and the children were born in Delaware. Catherine was born in Ireland. In 1900 Owen Kelly, 28, a morocco leather finisher, and Louise Blessington, 20, a morocco leather glazier, were among several boarders residing at 721 W. 4th St. with the Dougherty family.
