Services for Mrs. Lester (Thelma I.) Brewer, 50, of 2618 W. Overhill Rd., who died at her home at 6:30 pm Friday, will be at 1 pm tomorrow at Wilton Mortuary. The Rev. Bobby Ray will officiate and burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 6 to 8 tonight and Peoria Heights Chapter will conduct Eastern Star rites there at 7:30.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Brewer had worked for a number of Peoria physicians and last was employed by Dr. James Myers. She last worked Wednesday. She was a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants and was a past president of the organization.
Born at Neosho, Mo., Oct. 9, 1924, she was a daughter of Lee and Julia Pierce Edwards, and married Mr. Brewer at St. Louis, Mo., May 23, 1942. She attended Peoria Heights Congregational Church and was a member of Peoria Heights Chapter, OES, which she served as worthy matron in 1965. She also was a former grand lecturer for the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Julia Hicok of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Eileen) Flexer and Mrs. Michael S. (Frances) Poulsen, both of Peoria; one sister, Mrs. Hubert (Kathryne) Bernard of Princeville and five grandchildren.
