Graveside services for Jewel Anita Blaylock of Vaiden will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Shute Cemetery near Black Hawk. Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the
service.
Mrs. Blaylock, a homemaker, died of heart failure at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden on Thursday, May 23. She was 73 years old.
Mrs. Blaylock was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Rosamond Meriwether; mother, Estelle Woods Meriwether Hefner; stepfather, Roy Hefner; daughter, Vickie Marie Parson; son, Donald Edward Blaylock; sisters, Claudia Marie Meriwether and Hazel Palmertree; and brother, Charles Edward Meriwether.
Survivors include her son, William M. "Mark" Blaylock of Vaiden; sister-in-law, Hazel Meriwether of Teoc; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
