Opal McKinley passed away on May 19, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette. Opal was born on November 17, 1919, in Carroll County to the late John Carl Disinger and Mary Edith (Trawin) Disinger McHardie. She was a 1938 graduate of Delphi High School.

Opal married Herbert Leo Timberman on March 25, 1939, in Rockfield, and he preceded her on April 14, 1955. Her second marriage was to Milo McKinley on July 3, 1957, in Pyrmont and he preceded her February 13, 1997.

Opal had worked at Essex Wire in Logansport for over 33 years before her retirement from there in 1979. She then was employed for 2 ½ years at Peters-Revington, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church, Love Circle at the Church, a life member of the 32nd Division Veterans Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star in Rossville, and American Legion Auxiliary in Delphi.
Opal enjoyed crocheting, playing euchre and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Nichols (husband: David) of Delphi; grandsons: Jeffery Nichols (wife: Nancy) of Simi Valley, CA, Mark Nichols (wife: Suzi) of Noblesville, and Chad Nichols of Burlington, Kentucky; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husbands and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Pastor Dan Gottschalk will officiate.
