Rev. Lloyd T. (Trudell) CALLEN, 82, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002 in Morning View Care Center. Born Feb. 9, 1920, in Hyde Park, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Hulda THOMPSON CALLEN. Lloyd was a graduate of Practical Bible Institute at Johnson City, N.Y. and received his master's degree in Biblical Theology from Freelandia Bible College & Seminary at Broadway, MO.
On June 19, 1942, he wed Olive Gibson in West Sunbury, PA. The couple recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Lloyd was a pastor, a Christian educator, an artist, a truck driver, welder and truly a jack-of-all-trades. He was also a home missionary to the New Philadelphia and Dover area nursing homes. Lloyd was a Baptist and was the former pastor of Deersville Baptist Church.... Funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec 14, 2002... Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover, Ohio.

In addition to his wife Olive, he is survived by five daughters, six sons, twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Bruce Callen; three brothers, Thompson, Harold and Walter Callen.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover. Rev. Gary E. Forney, a minister of Calvary Baptist Church, New Philadelphia, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.
