Last rites for Arthur C. Wiebel, 74, Moscow, were held at Wilton Nov. 17 with the Rev. Curtis Moermond officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery. Mr. Wiebel died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Nov. 15 following an extended illness.
The son of William and Helen Bokelman Wiebel, he was born in Cedar county Sept. 22, 1905. He was married to Esther Heabner in Wilton June 3, 1928. Until he was forced to retire because of poor health, he was employed by the city of Wilton.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Loren, Muscatine; 2 daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Norma) Ford, Tipton and Mrs. Donald (Doris) Sick, Fair Play, Mo., 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and 4 brothers.
