Ruby Mae Keys, 92, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in Murfreesboro. She was born on April 28, 1921 in Murfreesboro, the daughter of the late James Kelly Howard and Martha Celly (Moore) Howard.
She was a housewife and member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lavell M. Keys; one son, Jimmy Keys; son-in-law Bill Holt; and 11 siblings.
She is survived by one son, Roger Keys and girlfriend, Becca Blaine of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Velda Holt of Murfreesboro; 5 grandchildren, Beth Anderson and husband, Ricky, Crystal Funderburg and husband, Jon, Stacey L. Keys, Rodney Keys, and Kelly Harris; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Funderburg, and Jaycee McKnight.
Services will be on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro with Bro. Jon Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
