Clarence served as a Private in Company I, 312th Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Kent County, Delaware prior to the war.

Clarence was "Killed In Action" in Argonne, France during the war.

There is a small bridge with a memorial plague attached in his memory on South State Street, Dover, just North of the Rising Sun light in Delaware.
