NEWSPAPER OBITUARY - Thursday, September 15, 1966 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - F. L. Maxwell Dies in Massachusetts - Frank L. Maxwell, brother of Mrs. George Craig of Altmar, died suddenly at his home in Ayer, Massachusetts last week. Mr. Maxwell was born in- Pulaski, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maxwell, who made their home on Delano Street. Mr. Maxwell was associated with, the F, W. Woolworth Company, having managed several Stores before becoming a district superintendent. In later years he had his own department store in Ayer, spending his winters in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was affiliated with the Caleb Butler Masonic Lodge of Ayer, and the Oriental Lodge of Troy. He was also a member of the Shrine and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a vestryman of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Ayer. Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Gerrnyn Maxwell, a daughter, two grandsons, his sister, Mrs. Craig and a nephew, Howard Craig. Funeral services were held last Thursday with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ayer. A Masonic service was conducted at the graveside.
