Andrew served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1948. He was a longtime salesman for American Greetings Corporation and was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
He is survived by one son, Stephen W. Mackey of New Bloomfield; three daughters, Jill A. Mackey of Columbia, Kathleen M. Wehmeyer of Jefferson City, Andrea M. Hofmann of Jefferson City; two sisters, Grace Rathbone of St. Louis, Virginia Hunt of St. Peters; and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph Chapel, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Missouri River Hospice.
