Gerald Joseph Burch, 75, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. 
Born in Warren, Ohio, he was a son of the late Anthony Raymond Burch and Kathryn Tvorach Burch.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Madonna Marie Diemert Burch, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, a brother and a sister.

A brother, Edward Burch, proceeded him in death.

Mr. Burch was a graduate of Grove City College, Class of 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-61. He started his career as a chemical engineer with General Chemical Co., first working in Claymont, Del. From there, he transferred to West Virginia, New York, Baltimore and eventually he returned to Claymont.

He enjoyed golfing, bridge, bowling and was a member of the Pinesteppers Square Dancing Club. 

He proudly married his wife, Madonna, at Stewart Air Force Base on June 20, 1959.
A celebration Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, near Ocean Pines. The Rev. Thomas Protack will officate. Friends my call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin and also one hour prior to the Mass on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802; Atlantic General Hospital, 9733 Healthway Drive, Berlin, Md. 21811; or St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11211 Beauchamp Road, Berlin, Md. 21811.
