Senior Airman Justin Blair Edwards, of Lincoln, Delaware passed away unexpectedly in Volusia County, Florida on April 20, 2012. Born on July 25, 1988 – he was the son of Timothy L. Edwards and Susan L. Kirby. Justin was an accomplished young man, who was a member of the Bethel Worship Center, in Laurel, DE and was serving as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force Reserves. He graduated from Laurel High School in 2007. He is affectionately remembered for his role, playing the part of “Denny” in the first production of Grease in 30 years. He was a soloist in the Concert Choir on Tour, an accomplished “self taught” guitarist, singer, instrumentalist, and was well known to have excelled in everything he did. He joined the USAFR in 2010 with his basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. He received several accommodations, but was most proud of the Commander in Chief’s Challenge Coin awarded to him by President Obama, having been chosen as one of the Airmen given the honor of preparing the hanger receiving the fallen troops at Dover Air Base in a Ceremony with the President. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents: Mike Edwards, and his wife Joan, and grandmother June E. Grove. Also surviving him are his sister: Lindsay Danee Edwards, formerly of Salisbury, MD, and now of Newport News, VA; and her fiancé Bobby Ritchie. He is also survived by a nephew: Graham Jameson Ritchie; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Bethel Worship Center, 22648 Sussex Highway; Seaford, DE 19973 on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:30 AM. Friends may call beginning at 9:00 AM.
