Martha, 77, was the daughter of Orville and Florence (Presar) Ruck. On Jun 9, 1956, she married Norm Decker.

Surviving are two sons: Doak and Kyle; two sisters: Berneda Taylor and Carol Baeumel; a grandson, Jake; and a granddaughter, Samantha.

She graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1953. She worked at the town swimming pool as a lifeguard and saved the life of a young man the summer of her senior year. She met her husband, Norm, while attending college at Bowling Green State University. She graduated from college June 9, 1957, on their first anniversary. She was a member of the synchronized swim team. She worked as a substitute teacher her entire career, teaching at Liberty Center, Celina and Washington Local Schools. She easily met all of the challenges of being a coach's wife and supported her husband in all he did.
She enjoyed playing golf, playing cards with her friends, cooking, traveling, swimming, and spending time with her family.

A time of gathering for condolences for Norm and Martha Decker is 4-8 p.m. June 14 at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg.

For friends and family, the funeral will be June 15 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green.tThere will be a brief service, followed by a celebration of Norm and Martha's life. The service will begin at 12:35 p.m. A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m.
