Untimely Death of Mrs. O. C. Alderson

Died Saturday Afternoon, Interement Tuesday at Boulder

The entire community of Lafayette was saddened last Saturday afternoon when the news was spread about town that Mrs. O. C. Alderson had died at 4:30 that day.

Mrs. Alderson had been ill about ten days with pneumonia and although her condition seemed rather critical at times, hopes were entertained for her recovery up until the last couple of days, when her fever became so high that her death was hourly expected.

The funeral services were held at the family home here at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. H. G. McAllister officiating; after which the remains were taken to Boulder where interement was made in Green Mountain cemetery.

The remains were escorted by a large number of relatives and friends in automobiles.

The deceased was born at Virden, Ill., 36 years ago, and was married to Mr. O. C. Alderson on March 15, 1905. After the marriage Mr. and Mrs. Alderson went to Boulder, where they resided until 1905, when they came to Lafayette.

She leaves to mourn her loss the husband, O. C. Alderson, one son Clifford, and her mother.

Mrs. Alderson was a loving wife and mother, being constantly devoted to her home and family, and lived a life that caused the envy of her friends and acquaintances.

Those from outside who were here to attend the funeral were: Dr. and Mrs. Alderson of Thayer, Ills.; Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong of Jacksonville, Ills.; and Mrs. Campbell, a sister of Virden, Ills.
