Donald Eugene Stinson, age 75 of Kingston Springs, TN passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Mr. Stinson was born on Monday, February 28, 1938 in Independence, KS to the late Paul E. and Ruby A. Stinson.

He grew up in Kansas and attended Kansas City College and Bible School, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Lucille. He joined the Air Force and during his service was stationed in Pendleton, CA, Biloxi, MS and Phalsbourg, France. After his discharge from service, he worked as a barber prior to beginning a 32 year career with the FAA. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Lucille Marie Stinson; son, Marcus E. (Myra) Stinson; daughter, Teresa D. (Joel) Perry; sister, Patricia (Doug) Meador; grandchildren, Sarah E. (Benjamin) Bratton, Trevor P. (Betsye) Stinson and Emily A. Perry; and great-grandson, Daniel J. Bratton. He enjoyed gospel music, attending the National Quartet Convention and traveling with family. He was an avid golfer, playing all over the Nashville area with a group of friends.

A celebration of Mr. Stinson's life will be conducted at 1 P.M., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene, 510 Woodland St., Nashville, TN 37206 with Dr. Steve Hoskins and Pastor Jack Galloway officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Spring Hill Funeral Home
