Veteran Of World War Passes Away
Leslie Martindale, World war veteran, a resident of Casper for the past four years, died Wednesday at the U. S. Veterans' hospital at Hines, Ill., near Chicago, where he had been receiving treatment since last September. He was 53.
Employed by the reclamation service here before his illness. Mr. Martindale had made his home in Casper with a brother, Merle.
The body will arrive here Friday and funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clcok from the Bustard funeral home, with Dr. William S. Hints, pastor of the First Methodist Church, in charge.
Interment will be in the veterans' plot at Highland cemetery, with Powder River post No. 991 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, paying final tribute at graveside. The deceased was a member of the organization.
