Miss Clara M. Berg died Saturday, June 16, 2001, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline. She was born September 2, 1905, in Slayton, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Emma (Loe) Berg.
She received her nurses training at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, and was a nurse at various Chicago hospitals for 45 years, retiring in 1970. After her retirement, she moved to East Moline, and became one of the first residents of Ridgewood Towers.
Clara is survived by several nieces and nephews, including, Myrtle Versluys and Joyce Wiser of Moline, Darlene Cossmon of Davenport, Norman Berg Jr. of Rock Island, and Richard Berg of Milan. She was preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers and three sisters.
East Moline, Illinois Services for Clara M. Berg, 95, of East Moline, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Kent Umbarger will officiate. Interment is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, East Moline, where she was a member.
