Mary Elizabeth Conner, 91, of Dawson, passed away Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services are 1 p.m. today at Wade Chapel, with Rev. Mark Flurry and Dr. John R. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robert B. Rogers, Norman Stoner, Conrad Newton III, Wilmer Hale, Dan Nesmith, Kenneth Bumpers, and Raymond Doss.
Mrs. Conner was born in Holdenville, Okla. on Sept 17, 1906. She had been a Dawson resident since 1928. She taught school in Dawson for many years. She was a graduate of Denton High School and North Texas State University in Denton. She was a retired public school teacher and a member of First Baptist Church of Dawson.
Mrs Conner is survived by sister, Helen Boyd of Kemp; nephew, John R. Rogers of Lexington, Ky; great nieces, Cassie Stoner of Frisco, Ruth Kumpe of Lewisville; great nephew, Robert B. Rogers of Dallas; and nieces-in-law, Barbara Conner and Mindy Maass of Dawson.
Mrs. Conner is preceded in death by her husband William Harry Conner in 1967. Arrangements by Wade Funeral Home.
