R. C. "Clint" ARNOLD
R. C. "Clint" ARNOLD, who worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration for 30 years before retiring in 1989, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Highway 277 South, with the Rev. Clayton PENNINGTON officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. ARNOLD was born in Mason City, Iowa, and married Esther JENNE in 1947 in Memphis, Tenn. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 9 1/2 years and moved to Abilene in 1960 from Fort Worth. He was a member of Hamby Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Esther ARNOLD of Abilene; one daughter, Patricia PRICE of McKinney; two sons, Randall Clint ARNOLD Jr. of Hesperia, Calif., and Michael Lynn ARNOLD of Athens, Ga.; his mother, Hesther Mae ARNOLD of Mason City, Iowa; one brother, Duane Alva ARNOLD of Mason City, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
