Joe Pete Cannon,72, Branford, Fl passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Fl. The life long Suwannee County native was a 30 year retired Poultry Supervisor for Gold Kist, Live Oak, Fl , a 32 year former City Council member for the Town of Branford, a member of the Branford Sportsman Club, member of the Branford Booster Club and member of the First Baptist Church, Branford, Fl. Mr. Cannon is survived by his daughter: Donna (Robbie) Suggs, Branford, Fl; Two sons: Darryl Cannon and Dean (Kim) Cannon both of Branford, Fl; one sister: Margie Young, Branford, Fl; Five grandchildren: Brittany (Brandon) Hewett, Brett Suggs, Delani Cannon, Dara Cannon and Dawson Cannon; Three great-grandchildren: Kagan Hewett, Kamdyn Hewett and Scarlett Suggs. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Linda Cannon. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday,May 23rd in the First Baptist Church, Branford, Fl. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Memorial Cemetery.
