Jack R. Hickman
October 30, 1935 ~ April 28, 2013

Resident of Antioch, CA. Jack Hickman will be forever missed by his wife of 47 years, Sally, his sons Scott (Leni) and Mark (Kim); granddaughters: Devan, Nicole, Melissa and Holly and grandson Isaiah. He was the eldest of eleven brothers and sisters and wonderful in-laws.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Hickman, brothers Phillip, Alan, Patrick, Keith, and Charles Hickman, and sister Mary Jensene Hickman. Survived by brothers Michael, Thomas, and Donnie Hickman and sisters Carole Kelton, Cheryl Price, Jeane Chamberlain, and Joan Osteen. He was Uncle Jack or Uncle Boz to many adoring nieces and nephews.

He worked for over forty years for FiberBoard and Gaylords in Antioch. Jack was very involved in soccer and little league when his sons were young. After retiring as an instrument technician, sports, bocce, gardening and reading occupied his time. An avid reader all his life, he loved to read to his grandchildren and share/exchange books with his many friends. His tomatoes were the best and he shared them with everyone. His Sundays were sports and food, spent with his sons and all his young friends, Bobby Fouts being an original. When Jack discovered Bocce Ball, he became Mr. Bocce. A man of many names...Boz, Stat Guy, PaPa, Mr. Barnes and Noble, Uncle and dear friend.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday May 19 at the VFW Hall from 11am until 3pm.

Jack remains in our hearts and minds, he was a kind loving, devoted husband and father, and a loyal and steadfast friend.
