Edwin C McCants Dies in Anderson - Anderson, Edwin Clyde McCants, 74, of 2100 Edgewood Ave, died in a local hospital Tuesday.

He was born in Stuart, Virginia but spent most of his life in Anderson. He was an employee of the Post Office for 51 years and was a retired Postmaster. He was the son of the late Dr Elliott Crayton and Tressa Lipscomb McCants. He was a member of St John's Methodist Church.

He attended the University of South Carolina.

Surviving; wife, Mrs Rachel Taft McCants; a daughter, Mrs W E Evans of Anderson; a son, Clyde Taft McCants of Covington, VA; 2 sisters, Mrs Ralph Crawford of Greenville and Mrs H B Hair Jr of Ridgeland.
