Mrs. Atchley died Friday, June 3, 2005, at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tenn. She was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Coldwater, Tenn., to Newton Clark and Polly Anne Honea Clark. She lived all of her life in this area as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Atchley, and a son, Larry W. Atchley.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Atchley, of Ardmore, Ala.; two daughters, Joyce Atchley of Taft, Tenn., and Linda Flankford of Ardmore, Tenn.; a brother, Jessie Clark, of Ardmore, Ala.; two sisters, Leal Billions of Toney and Anniebell Morris of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
