Daughter of Burt Bacharach, the award-winning music composer of such classics as ‘‘I'll Never Fall in Love Again,'' the Oscar-winning ‘‘Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head,'' and The Carpenters' ‘‘(They Long to Be) Close to You". Her mother is Angie Dickinson who is an American actress who has appeared in more than 50 films and starred on television as Sergeant Leann "Pepper" Anderson in the successful 1970s crime series Police Woman. She was a very loving and selfless mother to Nikki and her encouragement allowed Ms. Bacharach to earn a BS in Geology in spite of her Asberger's. Nikki was born one-pound, 10 ounces at birth, she grew up with emotional issues, which later was an undiagnosed case of Asperger's syndrome (the autism spectrum disorder is a relatively new diagnosis.) She committed suicide at the age of 40.
