Dick Corthell, 91, of St. Simons Island, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at SGHS in Brunswick. Memorial services will be held 10:30AM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. John Stevens and Dr. Wright Culpepper officiating.

Born October 24, 1921 in Dufer, Oregon, Mr. Corthell was a graduate of Oregon State College and Duke University. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a former Forestry Ranger with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. Mr. Corthell had been a resident of Glynn County since 1991, and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He was preceded by this wife Grace Corthell.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Vonice H. Corthell of St. Simons Island, a daughter Cindee Keuny and husband Andy of Dallas, TX, a granddaughter, Emily Keuny Hill and husband Robert, and several step children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, Epworth By The Sea, or Faith Works.
