ROBINSON, Laverne W. - Age 61, of Mt. Morris, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral home on Monday from 10-2 and 4-8PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robinson Family.
Laverne was born October 17, 1946 in Bay City, MI to Woodrow and Beatrice Robinson. He married Corrine Woods. Laverne attended Mt. Morris High School and was employed by General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1993. He was a spectator of all sports, the Detroit Red Wings being his favorite team. Laverne is survived by his wife, Corrine; children, Corey (Michelle) Robinson, Tiffany Robinson, Michael (Jennifer) Robinson, Joey Robinson; seven grandchildren; parents, Beatrice Robinson, Larry and Beverly Woods; brother, Robert (Sue) Robinson; several nieces and nephews; special friends Bob and Tanya Roth. Laverne is preceded in death by his father, Woodrow; brother, James; nephew, Rob; niece Lindsey.
