OBITUARY - Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home

Michael Eugene Singletary, age 61, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013, in a Baytown hospital. He was born on August 27, 1951, to Arthur Ray and Gladys Irene Horgor Singletary. On June 14, 1991, he married Audrey Willis in Liberty, Texas. Mr. Singletary worked for Cargill Grainery in Channelview until his illness. He flew powered parachutes and was a member of B.A.R.F. (Bay Area Recreational Flyers) and the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Assoc.). He was also an avid woodworker.

Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Mr. Singletary is survived by his wife, Audrey Singletary, of Dayton; sons, Jody Singletary and wife, Anna, of Perry, FL, and Casey Singletary of Hull-Daisetta; daughters, Stacie McGahey and husband, Ben, of Poolville, TX; step-daughters, Heather Jentho and husband, Scott, of Conroe, Darbye Garrard and husband, Jim, of Winnie, and Dena Parker of Houston; sister Charlotte Chandler and husband, Chuck, of Houston; and grandchildren, Wyatt, Morgan, Kyra, Kory, Rilea, Jesse, Aiden, Tyler, and Scottie.

The family will receive friends at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, TX.
