Peter Hinton Jr. b. about 6-1-1792 d. 7-16-1860 is most likely the father of Peter Lhamon and not the Peter Hinton Sr. ( Memorial# 95053986 ) buried in the Flook Armentrout Cemetery, Lacey Spring, Rockingham County Virginia who was married to Mary Polly Scothorn Hinton at the time of Peter Lhamon's birth. All records point to a Peter Hinton being the father of Peter Lhamon.
Barbara and Peter were of the same approximate age of 19 and perhaps this union was not approved of or there was a divorce, of which there is no record. Peter Hinton Jr went on to marry Mary Polly Sellers who died in 1815 and then married Lurena Moyers Yancy.
Nevertheless if it weren't for whatever happened our family line would not be here, we are grateful!
