Maggie Jane King
Miss Maggie Jane King, 88, of Huntsville died July 19, 1992, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 19, 1902, at Lucas, Kan., the daughter of Pearl Bedford and Nellie May Barton Reed. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville for more than 57 years, where she was a Ruling Elder, Deacon and Sunday school teacher. She had been a member of the Huntsville E.H. club, a charter member of the Harmony E.H. Club, and a member of the Huntsville Order of Eastern Star #487. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert King, on May 14, 1966, and by one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Catherine Dillahunty on Nov. 12, 1946.
Survivors include one son, Eugene King of Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Southerland of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Smith of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Edith Grimes of Delano, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
