Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late John Henry and Hortense Ware Walker.
Mr. Walker was a retired brick mason and member of Airport Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a sister, Irene Tolbert of Greenville; sister-in-law, Curtis L. Walker of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Airport Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Lowndes Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
