Funeral services were held Weds (yesterday) from St. Regis Catholic church for Noah Lee Cook, 64, an elected chief at the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation, who was found dead at his home at Racquette Point Saturday. Prior to the rites the body was in repose at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena Burial was in the parish cemetery. St.Lawrence County Coroner David E. Donaldson said Mr.Cook had been dead for about 24 hours. The deceased was born in 1907, the son of Louis and Elizabeth Herne Cook and attended schools in Hogansburg, Benson Mines, Deferiet and Potsdam. Until his retirement in 1970 he was a rigger at Massena operations of Alcoa. He was a member of the Senior Citizens of Hogansburg and Alcoa 25 Year Club. Mr. Cook married Miss Harriet Tarbell on September 10,1938 in St. Regis Church, the Rev. Michael Jacobs officiating. She predeceased him on September 28, 1968. Mr. Cook is survived by two sons, Noah W. Cook and Andy J. Cook, both of the State Road, Bombay; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Weldon (Mae) Elger, Massena, and Mrs. Alfred (Betty) Hooper Ogdensburg; seven brothers Basil Cook, Racquette Point Jake Cook, Hogansburg, Henry and Stillman Cook, Rochester Philip Cook, Wash. Donald Cook, Bombay, Julius Cook, Brentwood, L.I., several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
