Born Sept. 17, 1906 in New York City, she moved to Carson City in 1966 from New York.
While living in New York she worked as a switchboard operator for Universal Studios.
Survivors include daughters, Grace Barton of Carson City and Louise Butta of New York City; sons, Fred Barton of Steamwood, Ill, Dwight Barton of Lawrenceville, Ill and George Barton of Carson City; brothers James Volmer of Salt Lake City and George Volmer of New Jersey; sisters, Marion Volmer of Carson City and Anna Volmer of New York City; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren."
