Glenda Sue (Hill) Simicsak, 59, of Clovis, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

She was born July 30, 1940, in Rice Texas, to Alvis O. and Annie (Vest) Hill.

She was a long-time resident of Clovis but was reared in Portales and graduated from Portales High School in 1959. She had worked as a baker for several years at Albertson's store, and the Spudnut doughnut shop. Simicsak was also the former owner of the Cozy Closet. She was a member of Prince Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis O. Hill, in 1990, and Annie Hill, in 1976; her husband, Frank Simicsak, in 1997; and one brother, Alvis Hill, in 1969.

Survivors include three sons, Wendell Hardegree and Mike Hardegree, both of Clovis, and James Hardegree of Odessa, Texas; three daughters, Sarah Hodson of Clovis, Brenda Lytle of Springerville, Ariz., and Melinda Stacy of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, William A. Hill of Clovis, Randall Hill and Gerald Hill, both of Portales, and Bobby Hill of Odessa; three sisters, Connie Deckard of Petersburg, Texas and Peggy Predieri of Shelby, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Steed-Todd Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Boydston will officiate.

Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Deckard, Larry Deckard, Gene Predieri, George Tidwell, Bill Lytle and Tracy Kimberly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Hardegree, Skyler Hodson, Tim Hodson, William A. Hill, Randall Hill, Bobby Hill and Gerald Hill.
The family will be at 1917 Grayson Ct.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
