Rev. Dr. Warren Sherman Webb, 85 years of age, died at Meridian. The deceased was one of the greatest educators of the South and was especially well known to the Baptists of the South. He was born and reared in New York, graduated from one of its most famous institutions, and about five years before the Civil War, finding himself out of harmony with the people of his native state on questions then leading up to the great Civil War, he came South.
